The
Ramsey Rescue Squad provides emergency service to the community of Ramsey on a volunteer basis. The approximately 70-member organization has served Ramsey for over 50 years.
Squad Functions
The squad's functions include:
- Assistance to the Ramsey Ambulance Corps in the form of drivers, EMT's and lifting on-scene
- Confined Space Rescue
- Decontamination services in partnership with Mahwah Fire Department HazMat Company 2
- Fire scene support operations for the Ramsey Fire Department
- High Angle Rescue
- Ramsey Police Department assistance for traffic and crowd control
- Search and Rescue
- Water Rescue
In addition to the above functions, we are actively involved in a number of community service and fund raising activities in Ramsey. Ramsey Rescue Squad offers both non-administrative and administrative membership which allows members of the community who are interested in being involved the opportunity to join and assist the squad in various ways.
