Recycling Center

The Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for the operation of the Recycling/Convenience Center and Vegetative Compost Facility, which is located in the rear of the DPW yard. The site also takes:

  • Computers and television sets
  • Old tires
  • Used clothing for Goodwill charities
  • Scrap Metal
  • Plastic Bags are NO LONGER accepted at center (as of June 2021).  Shop- Rite and Home Depot have collection bins.
Check your recycling schedule for the operation hours of the center.

Two Tisdale School students recently decided to raise money with a lemonade stand, as their third grade profile project, and donate the proceeds to the Ramsey Recycling Department to help purchase new recycling barrels.

Prescription Drug Take-Back

Prescription Drug Take-Back Collection Box  is available any time in the police station lobby. Bring your unwanted drugs to the Ramsey Police Station. Pills can be combined into one container. Liquids and needles not accepted.

Recycling Container Pick Up                                                                                                                                 

Need a new recycling container or an extra one? Stop by Borough Hall. Containers are available for $15, check or credit card. New residents are invited to pick up a blue plastic container, free of charge, please provide proof of new address.
