Sidewalk Installation and Maintenance

It is the responsibility of the property owner to maintain the sidewalk area. This maintenance includes repairs, as well as the removal of debris, and ice or snow immediately following a storm; the snow or ice must be removed within 24 hours of cessation of the storm, or a summons my be issued by the Borough. The installation of a new sidewalk or curb or the replacement of an existing sidewalk or curb requires a permit from the Engineering Department.
