Ramsey Recreation offers a wide variety of programs for all ages as well as many seasonally themed special events.

Sports Programs

Sports programs for children include bowling, basketball, lacrosse, and wrestling. A volleyball clinic for girls in grades 6 through 8 was added in 2013 and expanded to 4th and 5th graders in 2016.

Adults may participate in soccer and men's and women's softball.

Throughout the year, recreation offerings include foul shooting contests for boys and girls, the Easter egg hunt, Home Run Derby, and the Halloween parade and costume contest. Movie events are scheduled at Finch Park during the summer. Snow tubing at Campgaw in Mahwah, a new undertaking in 2012, provides an enjoyable winter activity for the 150 participants.

The annual Jack McKeown Ramsey Run (both 5K and 10K races) continues to attract hundreds of racers. The yearly Dog Show was always a crowd favorite. Summer camp at Finch Park provided activities for over 400 young campers in 2015.
